8 Mile starring Eminem
Length: 5 mins. Rated G.
I rented the CleanFlix version of this movie (with all the offensive material removed) and found it absolutely delightful, if a bit brief.
The fast-moving story of a young man from Detroit with aspirations to succeed in show business, 8 Mile wastes no time with exposition or plot development, let alone dialogue, but plunges ahead in herky-jerky fashion to its climactic scene, which is cut off by the credits.
All in all, a spectacular debut for the wholesome pop star. He really could be the next Pat Boone!
